A vintage book on the world-renowned colorful floral embroidery traditions of Kalocsa, Hungary. This book was published in the 1980s and remains a classic, the most comprehensive of the handful of available books dedicated to the subject.
It has 101 projects with short descriptions in Hungarian with the date and size of the item shown. All projects are illustrated with a drawing and/or photo of the pattern for you to copy. 120 pages of descriptions, with black and white photos and patterns, plus 40 pages of gorgeous full-color photos and drawings of patterns, including complete autehntic traditional costumes and household textiles with the embroidery patterns shown.
The patterns and projects include clothes as well as household items like tablecloth and pillowcases. The last 5 pages of the book show the basic embroidery stitches that are used in the projects, with explanatory drawings. The book is also a comprehensive catalogue and viewbook of Kalocsa style traditional embroidery motifs.

Used, but in good condition. As the binding is old, parts of the book are separated from the spine, but the pages are mint condition, so this won’t affect your use of the book.
